Connecting good people with great artists

PhotoNest is a project built to help artists share, sell, and stay in control of their work. It isn’t a platform or a library — it’s the beginning of a better way for creators to connect directly with the people who value their art.

Why PhotoNest Exists

For too long, artists have had to depend on SaaS platforms and giant stock libraries that take control of their catalogs, their pricing, and their client relationships. The result is less connection and less revenue for the very people doing the work.

PhotoNest starts small but with purpose: the first tool is a WordPress plugin that turns uploaded images into WooCommerce products. Simple, direct, and designed to reduce friction between creators and clients.

About the Founder

I started as a photographer, and over time my path took me deep into the business and technology of the creative world. At Microsoft and later at Corbis, I saw how powerful platforms could become gatekeepers that squeezed both value and control away from the artists they relied on. At Santa Fe, I reconnected with the photographic community, hearing firsthand the frustrations with falling prices and the industry’s drift toward commoditization.

Along the way, I taught myself development, built websites, and re-engineered processes. That mix of creative and technical experience convinced me of one thing: artists don’t need more gatekeepers. They need tools that help them run their businesses on their own terms.

PhotoNest began as a way to sustain myself and my family, but it’s grown into something larger — a project with the potential to give control back to creators and to create a healthier connection between artists and the people who value their work.
